Eric Stefanski

Eric Stefanski was born in Chicago, in 1987. His MFA was awarded by the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in Boston after he completed his BA at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. Stefanski is also an adjunct professor in the Humanities Department of Morton College currently.

Greatly impacted by the street art of the 1990s that surrounded around him, Stefanski’s straightforward and quirky sense of humor transferred onto canvas are inspired by his personal experiences and memories as an artist and drawing from a diverse range of themes including art history, popular culture, sports, and labor. He conveys a powerful message of reality with simplicity, guiding the audience toward complete relatability. With the raw writings, bold colors, and investigation of societal and personal themes, Stefanski's one-of-a-kind works are a true representation of the complexity and beauty of the world around us.

As one of the rising artists in the contemporary American art scene, Stefanski's art has garnered recognition in the United States, with his works exhibited widely and held in numerous public and private collections. His artwork is being shown for the first time in the Asia-Pacific area, and we are thrilled to share his messages with visitors at Rich Art Gallery.
