Chiang Shu-Yun
Chiang Shu-Yun was born in 1997 in Taipei, Taiwan, and received a Master’s in Fine Arts from National Taiwan University of Arts (2023).
Her practice focuses on how viewers engage with painting through the visual language of abstract geometry, questioning the boundaries, contours, and the very act of seeing. In her work, color weaves through structures—colliding, intertwining, and opposing—quietly resonating within the viewer’s shifting gaze and perception. Her paintings remind us that color is never still; it is always in flux—flowing, emerging, and transforming—extending into infinite dimensions of viewing and continuously reshaping the limits of visual experience. She has exhibited in solo and group shows, including the 2022 Facade exhibition, the 2023 Soka Young Artists Exhibition, and at AKI Leipzig Prospect in Germany. Her work questions the meaning and value of contemporary painting, embracing abstraction as both an aesthetic and precise artistic tool.
