謝衡2017年畢業於國立臺灣藝術大學雕塑系，在校期間即榮獲師生展金雕獎、雕塑祭麗寶企業獎及評審團特別獎，其創作以自身文化作為藝術創作的起始點。謝衡的創作手法是將立體雕塑植入中國筆墨皴法，以雕刻刀在木材質上劈裂仿造自然的崩裂狀態，並使用刀法的收放及深度的搭配去挪配觀者的視覺焦點，呈現中國繪畫虛實交錯的特質，築構成一件需要移動環視的山水雕刻作品，坐看其山，心境無波，唯一感受到的是觀者與自然無聲寧靜的心靈對話。


Hsieh Heng graduated from the Sculpture Department of the National Taiwan University of the Arts in 2017. During studying in the school, he won the Golden Sculpture Award for the Teacher-Student Exhibition, the Lihpao Enterprise Award for Sculpture Ceremony and the Special Jury Award.His creation uses his own culture as the starting point for his artistic creation. His creating method is that implanted the three-dimensional sculpture into the Chinese brush and ink method, split the wood material with a carving knife to imitate the natural cracking state, and used the retracting and depth of the knife to match the viewer's vision. The focal point presents the intertwined nature of Chinese paintings, constructing a landscape sculpture that needs to be moved around. Sitting and looking at the mountain along with stable emotion, the only thing that is felt is the silent and tranquil spiritual dialogue between the viewer and nature.
