Johannes Holt Iversen
Johannes Holt Iversen 1989
ohannes Holt Iversen (b.1989) is a Danish painter and sculptor currently located in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
He is an apprentice of Danish painter and sculptor Erik Rytter (former assistant of Poul Gernes). His works can be abstract at times but are always related to the real-world counterparts. The duality of light, shadow, and reflection is explored in Johannes's artistic practice, and now perusing his practice with innovative artificial methods, which aims to create a universe through his artistic endeavors that are connected to both the distant history and the near future of humanity. Through unconventional forms, textures, and colors, he conveys the idea that, while the figure itself is important; the surrounding area, the viewer, and even the ecology have a significant part in engaging with the artwork.
