大雋藝術將於2026年9月12日至11月22日，隆重呈現日本藝術家白田譽主也年度個展《豊和草子Howa Soshi》。長期以「生命」為創作核心的白田譽主也，透過細膩而富有敘事性的畫面，持續探問生命在環境、時間與記憶之間的動態遞變。本次展覽以猴子為主要意象，將豐收、節慶、旅行與自然景觀等日常片段匯聚於畫面中，描繪一幅關於生命、土地與時間持續生成的圖景。
展名「豊和草子」承載著深厚的文化意涵。「草子」一詞源自日本古典文化，不僅指涉冊頁、隨筆、筆記與章節，更是一種將生活與時代逐頁記錄下來的形制。在白田譽主也的創作視野中，「草子」成為一種空間化、視覺化的思考方式——每一頁的翻動，皆是時間與記憶的凝結與流轉。每件作品彷彿為一個獨立篇章，濃縮著特定的季節、場景或生命經驗。當這些作品於展場空間中彼此並置，便不再只是孤立的畫面，而構築出一種「空間化翻閱」的體感。展覽場域儼然成為一本展開於大地上的巨型圖冊，作品間的交錯對話形成時間的褶皺，讓觀者在自然進程的延續與變遷中，重新邂逅歷史、文化與生命的交會點。
在《豊和草子》中，猴子不僅是畫面中的主角，更像是一位穿梭於不同時空的觀看者與靈性見證者。牠們穿梭於豐收場景、自然花草與奇幻旅程之間，游移於自然生態、擬人寓言與日常奇想之間。藝術家將生命的活力、適應力與強韌生命力，轉化為一種既童趣又具有深層寓意的視覺語言。猴子的靈動與大地的厚重相互映襯，成為連結觀者與自然萬物的介質，展現出萬物共享自然的和諧律動。

Rich Art Gallery is honored to present Howa Soshi (豊和草子), a solo exhibition of Hakuta Yoshuya, on view from September 12 to November 22, 2026. Centered on the overarching theme of "life," Yoshuya utilizes delicate, narrative-rich visual compositions to continuously inquire into the dynamic shifts of existence across environments, time, and memory. Featuring the monkey as its central motif, this exhibition weaves together everyday fragments—harvests, festivities, journeys, and natural landscapes—into a rich tapestry of life, land, and time in perpetual generation.
The exhibition title, Howa Soshi, carries profound cultural resonance. Derived from classical Japanese tradition, soshi (草子) refers to handbound booklets, casual essays, and episodic records—a form dedicated to chronicling life and eras page by page. Within Yoshuya’s creative vision, soshi transforms into a spatialized, visual framework of thought: each turning page marks the condensation and flow of time and memory. Every artwork functions as an independent chapter, encapsulating a specific season, setting, or lived experience. When juxtaposed within the exhibition space, these works transcend isolated imagery to construct a sensory experience of "spatialized browsing." The gallery evolves into an expansive manuscript unfolded across the landscape, where intersecting artworks create folds in time, inviting viewers to rediscover the nexus of history, culture, and life amid the ongoing rhythms of nature.
Throughout Howa Soshi, the monkey serves not merely as the protagonist, but as a timeless observer and spiritual witness. Moving fluidly through scenes of harvest, natural flora, and fantastical journeys, these figures wander the space between natural ecosystems, anthropomorphic fables, and daily whimsy. Yoshuya translates vitality, adaptability, and resilience into a visual language that is simultaneously playful and deeply allegorical. The nimble spirit of the monkey contrasts with the grounded weight of the earth, bridging the viewer to the natural world and celebrating the harmonious resonance shared by all living things.
Furthermore, Howa (豊和) signifies more than material abundance or fruitful harvests; it embodies a state of rich harmony accumulated through earth, life, nature, culture, and time. Ho (豊) represents the selfless bounty bestowed by the earth, while Wa (和) reflects the harmonious foundation forged through cultural and daily life over generations. Elements such as fields, creatures, celebrations, and travels—though seemingly mundane—settle into layers that form a transcendental landscape of life. This sense of Howa is not a static state of completeness, but a continuous generative force operating within seasonal shifts, revealing the profound resilience born from the passage of time.
Ultimately, Howa Soshi is more than a depiction of abundance—it is an exploration of how life exists, accumulates, and endures. As nature, culture, and everyday encounters layer upon the canvas, Hakuta Yoshuya captures the raw, intricate essence of existence: fragile yet resilient, anchored in the present while moving toward the next season.
