《以梵谷之名作為其複製的神聖象徵》以鋼彈模型零件拆解並組構梵谷的經典名作《星夜》(Starry Night)中高聳入雲的教堂 ，將平面畫作轉換為3D立體雕塑，並加入 #扭蛋玩具 互為關照，激盪出新的符旨。對大眾而言，梵谷《星夜》是一個符號，而鋼彈也是一個符號，藝術家以符號為材料再現一個符號，希冀用一種「符號裂解」與「本質易位」的方式，探討人們對動漫生產的鋼彈模型，以及對梵谷的文化消費心理。當兩種符號互相碰撞，一方面是反映資本主義鋪張與消耗的循環鏈現象，另一方面是採用大量工業生產的模型塑料，讓作品作為一種反應問題的媒介物，透過兩者的內在指涉，進行解構再建構的可能，延續其藝術話語。 Lin’s work “Named as Van Gogh to be a duplicate symbol” deconstructs and reconstructs the church from Van Gogh’s Starry Night using the parts of Gundam models, transforming the graphic image into a three-dimensional work and putting capsule toys into Lin’s work to inspire a new mark. For the public, Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Gundam are both symbols; by presenting a symbol with another symbol, the artist allows the two symbols of social consumption to interact through “symbolic dismantling” and the “translocation of essences”, which understand more human ’s consumption of culture toward the model of Gundam and Van Gogh. As a result, on the one hand, the work reflects the extravagance and consumption in the cycle of consumerism, while on the other hand, the work uses mass-produced plastic models to reflect the issue. Through both internal interaction, the form enables reconstruction after deconstruction and extends its artistic connotation.
